you to assess the effectiveness of your organization’s conservation
work through data collection and self-assessment, and teaches you
how to use what you learn to create positive change and improve
results.
Multiplying Program Effectiveness: TREC advises you on
ways to improve community relations and network with groups that can
help you multiply the effect of your work on the ground by building
the capacity to collaborate with others and manage campaigns and
coalitions.
Fiscal Sustainability: TREC provides extensive
fundraising training and consulting on membership development, major
gifts, legacy and planned gifts, foundation funding, fiscal management,
budgeting, and financial reporting.
Governance: TREC promotes responsible, participatory
involvement of boards of directors through a number of activities:
training, assessment, and consultation; organizational strategic
planning; and evaluation, program planning, and attention to
structural issues.
Leadership: TREC offers tools and approaches for managing
change, including one-on-one coaching, tools for individual and
organizational assessment, and 360-degree evaluations for directors
and managers. We also have techniques to help you sustain yourself
and your organization over the long term, including stress
reduction, time management, and avoiding burnout.
Personnel Management: TREC works with you to assess and
update personnel policies and can provide strategic help with
ensuring effective job descriptions and contracts, hiring,
compensation reviews, carrying out staff and board job assessments
and performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
